Position Title: 0.8 ENL (English as a New Language) Teacher
Brief Description: Teach English as a New Language (ENL) in a variety of settings. Co-teach and/or collaborate with content teachers in ELA, social studies, science, etc. Support English Language Learners (ELLs) in content classes, and advocate for their social and emotional needs. Participate in ongoing curriculum development, which responds to mandates of CR Part 154 and the NYS standards. Exhibit the ability to implement responsive curriculum, create an inclusive classroom, and differentiate instruction in order to engage the learning styles and needs of each student as an individual.

All candidates must possess (or be working toward) New York State Teacher Certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages or English as a Second Language, or ideally qualify to obtain it by the first date of employment. This requires at least a Bachelor’s degree. Licensed teachers from other states may qualify for reciprocity

Salary Range: $51,241– $73,141 (10-month full-time base)
