Develop trusting, collaborative relationships with families that are respectful of each family’s diverse and cultural background. -
Communicate with families on a regular basis, including participating in home/virtual visits, and provide ongoing individualized support for caregivers. Provide emergency assistance in areas such as food, housing, clothing and transportation, etc. Collaborate/plan with staff from community agencies that provide support services to families. -
Visit and support early childhood classrooms, communicate regularly with classroom teachers/teams (including attending team meetings, conferences, etc). Assist with required Head Start health screenings (hearing, vision and dental). -
Compliance with the ICSD’s partnership with Head Start. Maintain accurate, objective, timely and confidential records (ie: home/family visit records, family contacts, screening results, etc). -
Work with families and early childhood staff on developing caregiver training opportunities. Location(s): Districtwide Anticipated Start: March 18, 2024 Posting Dates: Until Filled Required Qualifications: -

Teaching Assistant Certification (or eligibility for certification) - minimum of 60 college credits -
Dependable Vehicle and valid driver's license. -
Experience working with young children and families.
