Position Title: Typist (Internal and External)
Brief Description: Maintain attendance records for the student body at Belle Sherman and Ithaca High School; effectively communicate with parents, students and administration; other duties as assigned.
Location(s): Belle Sherman, IHS
Anticipated Start Date: 8/24/2026
Posting Dates: 7/1/2026- 7/15/2026

Required Qualifications:

Must Possess flexibility, adaptability, good organizational skills, must be task oriented, work well under pressure. Must be eligible for appointment as a Senior Account Clerk Typist by Civil Service.

Civil Service Requirements:
-
Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, including or supplemented by a course in Bookkeeping and one year of experience in maintaining financial accounts and records;

OR
-
Three years of experience in a clerical position involving the maintenance of financial accounts and records;

OR
-
An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B) above
